Training Workshop on Laboratory Quality GLP at the College of Science – University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa

As part of efforts to enhance quality culture and ensure the application of the best standards in scientific laboratories, Assistant Lecturer Hussein Al-Ghanmi from the Quality Department conducted a specialized training workshop on Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) for the staff of the College of Science at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa. The workshop witnessed remarkable attendance, with Assistant Professor Dr. Shaimaa Hussein Nawfal, Dean of the College of Science, and Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Mohammed Al-Ghanmi, Head of the Information Technology Department, both participating to emphasize the importance of continuous training and the enhancement of laboratory practices in accordance with global standards. The workshop covered several key topics, including GLP standards in laboratory management, ensuring result accuracy, documentation techniques, and sample handling, with the aim of improving the quality of research and scientific experiments at the college. At the conclusion of the workshop, attendees affirmed the necessity of implementing quality practices in laboratories to ensure scientific reliability and strengthen the university’s position in research. Awareness Workshop on the Impact of Drugs in Iraqi Society

The College of Science at the University of Warith organized an awareness workshop on the impact of drugs in Iraqi society, presented by Dr. Sabah Mohammad Jabir. The workshop targeted the students of the College of Science, where Dr. Sabah discussed the effects of drugs on individuals and society, the importance of raising awareness about their dangers, and methods of prevention. The workshop included discussions on the reasons behind the spread of drugs among youth and how to combat this phenomenon through cooperation between educational institutions and the community. Dr. Sabah also provided the students with advice and guidance on how to avoid falling into addiction and emphasized the importance of psychological and social support for recovering addicts. This workshop is part of ongoing efforts to raise community awareness about the dangers of drugs and to work towards building a drug-free society.

Workshop on University Identity and Its Foundations

The College of Science at the University of Warith organized a workshop on the foundations of university identity, presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Talal Al-Kamali. The workshop targeted the students of the College of Science, where Dr. Al-Kamali discussed the various dimensions of university identity and how to build and develop it in higher education institutions. The workshop included the presentation of a set of theoretical and practical foundations that contribute to enhancing university identity, in addition to showcasing successful examples from other universities. The role of students and faculty members in building and maintaining university identity was also highlighted. This workshop is part of a series of initiatives aimed at raising awareness of the importance of university identity and its role in improving the quality of education and fostering a sense of belonging to the academic institution.
